We reported to you in our March prayer letter about how many of the people in our area are still without a roof, 5 months after Typhoon Haiyan. We asked pastors in 9 typhoon affected towns to identify families living under tarps.  Financed by those who gave to the Philippine Typhoon Relief fund, More than 110 families received materials to repair their roofs.

  • 2 Islands: Samar and Leyte
  • 9 towns
  • 1358 three foot by ten foot roofing sheets
  • > 110 families helped

Testimonies

These are the first two thank-you letters that were submitted:

It has been a tragic experience for me and my family to witness how typhoon Yolanda destroyed many lives and properties here in Tacloban city.  But despite all the emotional, physical, and economic disturbances, God never left us.  Our roof was blown away.  I am very thankful that I was one of the recipients of your donations.  May God continue to bless all who organized this.

After the super typhoon ‘Yolanda” we became homeless.  We’ve been praying for materials to rebuild our home.  God is so faithful that He answered our prayers.  Thank you so much for your kindness and showing your love and care for us.

Thank you also, to those who gave to the Philippine Typhoon Relief fund.

From time to time, we will email a general report on how the money is spent.  We will be giving detailed financial reports to our mission, ABWE.
